I wanted to make a difference by studying the Earth and environment-human interactions. I liked that OSU had hands on classes where the professors provide you opportunities to gain soft and hard practical skills that could be used in a future career as well as help you pursue your dream.
Everyone is very supportive of my goals and dreams! They help me decide which direction to go as well as connect me with people they think will be able to help further my journey. I also just love how passionate everyone is about their interests and how they try to spread that passion.
I conducted research my first two years at OSU on Marine Heat Waves, specifically "The Blob" to understand why it formed, and I got to present my research at the Spring Poster Symposium. It was really amazing because my peers and strangers were genuinely interested in my work and it felt rewarding.
