I chose OSU because of its nationally recognized Food Science and Technology Program as well as its highly respected reputation internationally for being a top research institution. OSU is one of only three land-, sea-, space-, and sun-grant universities in the U.S.
What I enjoy most about OSU are all the opportunities for learning and new experiences on campus. Returning to a university after being a working professional for over 10 years I absolutely love that I have the opportunity to learn blacksmithing, ballroom dance, and biochemistry at the same time.
One of the people who has meant the most to me in my time at OSU is my advisor, Sue Queisser. She has been so supportive of my interests and has been amazing in helping me find my best path to develop the skills and knowledge I need to succeed in a career after I graduate. Thanks, Sue!
