How do you support student success?

In the Principles of Biology courses, we use course-based undergraduate research experiences to offer authentic opportunities to all 1,300 students enrolled in these courses each year. Research experiences have been shown to increase retention and persistence in STEM.

Where at OSU do you feel you have the greatest impact?

In my role as co-coordinator of Principles of Biology, a high-enrollment service course, I coordinate a large team of faculty, graduate teaching assistants, undergraduate learning assistants, and staff so that every student has an equal opportunity to engage with the learning outcomes in our courses.

Why are you proud to be part of OSU?

I am proud to be part of a community that lifts each other up.
